Two dead, one injured in Tuesday night shooting

Two men are dead and a woman is hospitalized following what police are calling a murder-suicide late Tuesday night.

According to the North Las Vegas Police Department, officers responded to reports of shots fired near the 3100 block of Plumwood, near Cheyenne Road and Pecos Boulevard. The officers found an unidentified man and a 42-year-old woman at the scene suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the woman was transported to University Medical Center, where she has been stabilized.

After speaking to witnesses, the officers tracked the suspect to his apartment in the 3100 block of Orangewood. After several hours, SWAT entered the suspect's apartment and found the man dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to early investigations, the victims were shot following an argument outside of the woman's apartment. The relationship between the three involved is currently unknown.

The identity and official cause of death of the two deceased men will be released by the Clark County Coroner's office pending notification of next of kin.
