Woman shot while driving in North Las Vegas
A woman was shot multiple times while driving early Tuesday morning in North Las Vegas.
Police said the 35-year-old woman was driving near Cheyenne Avenue and Commerce Street about 2:30 a.m. when someone shot into the vehicle several times, striking her but missing her passenger, a 40-year-old North Las Vegas man.
She drove to a gasoline station at Cheyenne and Martin Luther King Boulevard, where police responded.
North Las Vegas police spokeswoman Chrissie Coon said no one was in custody, and detectives were not releasing information on a suspect.
"I would say at this point, it's unclear whether this was a random act of violence or it was targeted," Coon said.
The woman was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
