D&O insurance defends associations that are being sued by homeowners or third parties (in most cases, the lending institutions and investors), based on the allegations that associations failed to comply with their governing documents or state laws.
Though foreclosures in Nevada have decreased significantly since the peak of the recession, more than 20,000 homeowners are still either delinquent on their mortgage or in the foreclosure process.
