CHILDREN'S WORKSHOP

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and 9-1-1 for Kids will present a workshop for children ages 4 to 8 on how to place a 911 call and when it is appropriate at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Children's Park at Town Square Las Vegas, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South (269-5005).

PINOCHLE CLUB

The Las Vegas Pinochle Club meets at 5 p.m. Saturdays at Boulder Cascade Clubhouse. The group is open to new members (338-5770).

OPEN HOUSE

The Junior League of Las Vegas will offer a public tour of its historic Morelli House, 861 Bridger Ave., from 1-4 p.m. Saturday and May 17. There is no charge, but reservations are required (822-6536).

CLASS

The East Las Vegas Community Development Corporation and Nevada Housing Services of Southern Nevada will host a class for first-time home buyers at 9 a.m. Saturday. The class is free, but registration is required (307-1710).

MINIATURE ENTHUSIASTS

The Las Vegas Miniature Enthusiasts Club will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday in the parish hall at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 6670 W. Cheyenne Ave. (876-5637).

LEPRECHAUN LUNCHEON

The Impresario Society of Opera Las Vegas will host a Leprechaun Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Four Seasons, 3960 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The program will feature the Opera Las Vegas Artists. Reservations are necessary (459-6353).

WOMEN'S GROUPS

The Valley Women's Club will have a luncheon and business meeting at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Green Valley Library, 2797 N. Green Valley Parkway, Henderson (837-2541).

The Southern Hills Republican Women will have its monthly meeting at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Buckman's Grille at the Revere Golf Club, 2600 Hampton Road, Henderson. A social will begin at 11 a.m. followed by lunch at 11:30 a.m. Prepaid reservations are required by Friday (616-0056).

EASTER EGG HUNT

Trinity United Methodist Church, 1615 W. Charleston Blvd., will host an Easter egg hunt for children ages 2 to 8 years old at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The event will include an egg roll across the church lawn, photos with the Easter Bunny and a silent auction. All proceeds will be used for materials and equipment for the school (870-4647).

VETERANS GROUPS

The Jewish War Veterans of the USA, Sgt. Manny Peven Post 65, meets at 9:30 a.m. the first Sunday of each month at the clubhouse at Wildhorse Golf Club, 2200 W. Warm Springs Road, Henderson. A brunch is served (307-5306).

HUMANIST ASSOCIATION

The Humanist Association of Las Vegas and Southern Nevada, a group for ethical agnostics and atheists, will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Program Room at the Las Vegas Library, 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North (528-1587).

USCPFA MEETING

The next meeting of the U.S.-China Peoples Friendship Association will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the New Chinese Buffet, 1512 E. Flamingo Road. George Kowan will speak about China during World War II. Cost for the buffet is $15.

CHICAGO CLUB

The Chicago West Side Club of Las Vegas meets at 2 p.m. the first Sunday of each month at Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave. (256-9542).

SINGLE PARENTS

A new social networking group for single parents in Las Vegas and Henderson is being formed that will offer family-friendly activities (436-5204).
