WOMEN'S GROUP

The Valley of Fire Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will have its annual Chapter Awards Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Las Vegas Municipal Golf Club, 4300 W. Washington Ave. (233-0519).

FIBER ARTS GUILD

The Southern Nevada Handweavers and Spinners Guild/Fiber Arts Guild will meet at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the Blind Center, 1001 N. Bruce St. The program will be "Double Weave." Meetings are open to the public (642-3412).

FUNDRAISERS

The "Walk with the Heart of a Child" fundraiser will take place Saturday at Fashion Show mall, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Registration will begin at 7 a.m., with the walk starting at 8:30 a.m. Fees are $20 for adults, $15 for virtual walkers, and $10 for students and seniors. Proceeds benefit the Nevada-based Children's Heart Foundation (967-3522).

"A Tribute to George Harrison" will take place Saturday at the Sahara, 2525 Las Vegas Blvd. South, commemorating the date that the Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. The event will feature the Fab Four, a tribute Beatles group. Tickets are $24.95. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Nevada Cancer Institute, a treatment and research center (233-2417).

The Jewish Family Service Agency will have its Tzedakah Award event at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Dragon Ridge Country Club, 552 S. Stephanie St. in Henderson, to honor Allen Brewster for his contributions to the local Jewish community. Tickets are priced from $136. Reservations are requested (732-0304).

VETERANS GROUPS
