MERCHANT MARINES

FLOWER SHOW

The Las Vegas Iris Society will have its annual spring flower show from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Nevada Garden Clubs Center, 3333 W. Washington Ave. Admission is free (228-0827).

MINIATURE ENTHUSIASTS CLUB

The Las Vegas Miniature Enthusiasts Club will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 6670 W. Cheyenne Ave. The group is open to anyone interested in dollhouse miniature-making or collecting (876-5637).

WOMEN'S GROUPS

The Kappa Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will meet at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the home of Suzan Sibert. Reservations are requested (656-1479).

WORKSHOP

The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Advocacy Resource Center will sponsor a workshop from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Clark County Government Center Pueblo Room, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway. The class will cover the practices of auditory verbal therapy and how it affects parents of deaf babies. Admission is free (363-3323).

BLOCK PARTY

A community block party and 10th anniversary celebration of the Andre Agassi Boys & Girls Club will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at 800 N. Martin Luther King Blvd. The event targets the area surrounding the club and will feature food, games, prizes and entertainment. Admission is free.

PINOCHLE CLUB

The Las Vegas Pinochle Club meets at 5 p.m. Saturdays at Boulder Cascade Clubhouse (338-5770).

FUNDRAISERS

A roast honoring State Assemblywoman and Speaker Barbara Buckley, D-Las Vegas, will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday in the grand ballroom at Bally's, 3645 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The event will include dinner and a charity auction. Tickets are $175. Proceeds will benefit Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth (227-8700).

The Mule Deer Foundation, Southern Nevada Chapter, will have its second annual dinner and auction at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Gold Coast, 4000 W. Flamingo Road. Tickets are $85, including membership, or $135 per couple, including one membership. Proceeds will support the group's conservation mission (204-9406, 375-6656).

The Lied Discovery Children's Museum will have its Mad Hatter Tea Party and Fashion Show at 11 a.m. Sunday at the main stage of Fashion Show mall, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The event will feature a children's fashion show, entertainment by Alice and her Wonderland friends, and a drawing for items for children of all ages. Proceeds will go to the museum's programs and operations (382-2445, ext. 116).

The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Las Vegas Alumnae Chapter, in collaboration with the Delta Education and Leadership Training Academy, will host "Jazz in the Afternoon," an annual DeltaGanza event, from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Hartland Mansion, 1044 S. Sixth St. The event will feature The Brothers Ali, dinner, and silent and live auctions. Tickets are $75 (648-4932).

SINGLE PARENTS

A new social networking group for single parents in Las Vegas and Henderson is being formed that will offer family-friendly activities (436-5204).
