TOASTMASTERS

The Northern Voices Toastmasters Club meets at 11:30 a.m. the second and fourth Monday of each month at the North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, 3345 W. Craig Road (633-2098).

The Trinity Toasters Toastmasters club meets at 5:30 p.m. the second and fourth Monday of each month at Holy Trinity African Methodist Episcopal Church, 700 Lola Ave.

The Republican Toastmasters club meets at 6:30 p.m. the second and fourth Monday of each month at the American Legion Post 8, 733 Veterans Memorial Drive (878-4142).

The Toastmasters en Espanol club meets at 7 p.m. the first and third Monday of each month at the Las Vegas Latin Chamber of Commerce, 300 N. 13th St. (951-9454).

The Sourcer-Ers Toastmasters Club meets at 7:15 p.m. the second and fourth Monday of each month at the Green Valley Library, 2797 N. Green Valley Parkway, Henderson (896-1427).

POMEGRANATE GUILD

The Pomegranate Guild of Judaic Needlework will meet at 10 a.m. Monday at the West Sahara Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave. (838-5373).

LECTURE

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas College of Liberal Arts will present the lecture "Compulsive Gamblers: How the Swiss Handle this Problem," by William N. Thompson, professor of public administration, at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Barrick Museum auditorium, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway (895-3401).

HOST FAMILIES

NW Services, a nonprofit program, is looking for families to host high school students from Mongolia, Japan, Colombia, Belgium, France and other countries for the 2007-08 academic year (1-866-846-3977).
