WORKSHOP
The Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services will have a free college preparation workshop from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Doolittle Community Center, 1950 N. FUNDRAISER
Congregation Ner Tamid will host an educational event to spread information about the plight of women in Darfur and to raise money for solar cook stoves. The solar cooker project will take place at 7 p.m. May 15 at Congregation Ner Tamid, 55 N. Valle Verde Drive, Henderson. The guest speaker will be Michelle Kuenzi, political science assistant professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (733-6292).
