FUNDRAISER

HEALTH AND SAFETY FAIR

The National Bar Association, Lawyers Las Vegas Affiliate Chapter, will host a Kids Fitness Olympics: Health & Safety Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the 100 Academy for Excellence, 241 Comstock Drive in North Las Vegas. Activities will include a virtual fitness challenge, medical and health workshops, legal workshops, food and prizes. Admission is $5 for those older than 12 and free for those younger (1-866-514-0711).

ANGELS IN THE VALLEY

Angels in the Valley provides burial layettes and going-home layettes for hospitals in Henderson and Las Vegas for babies in need. The group will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday in the McDonald Conference Room on the Siena Campus of St. Rose Dominican Hospital, 3001 St. Rose Parkway. The event will include packaging going-home layettes and cutting fabric for burial layettes and blankets. Guests and new members may attend (837-6062).

CAREER DAY

The National Association for Women in Construction will host its Nevada Construction Career Day for high school students in the valley. The event will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Cashman Center, 850 Las Vegas Blvd. North, and will enable students to see construction machinery, participate in workshops and learn about internships, apprenticeship programs and higher education opportunities. Lunch will be provided. There is no registration fee (794-0550).

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL

Amnesty International will have its 60th birthday celebration at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Silver Springs Amphitheater, 1951 Silver Springs Parkway, Henderson (677-9919).

WOMEN'S GROUP

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority meets at 11 a.m. the first Saturday of each month at Sunrise Library, 5400 Harris Ave. (263-9718).
