LIONS CLUB

COMPUTER OPEN HOUSE

The city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services will have a computer open house from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Derfelt Senior Center, 3343 W. Washington Ave. The program is designed for residents 50 years and older interested in learning how to use personal computers and software (229-6601).

The Yucca Mountaineers Toastmasters Club meets at 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays at 1160 Town Center Drive, Suite 320 (821-8785).

ROTARY CLUB

EXECUTIVE LEADS CLUB

The Executive Leads Club meets at 7 a.m. Wednesdays at Becker's Lakeside, 8603 W. Sahara Ave. (255-8891).

OASIS REBEKAH LODGE

The Oasis Rebekah Lodge meets at 8 p.m. the first and third Wednesday of each month at 109 Ninth St. (458-5552).

NEWCOMERS CLUB

The Westside Newcomers Club will have its monthly coffee for new and prospective members at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Rainbow Library, 3050 N. Buffalo Drive. The group is open to women living in the area five years or less who enjoy bridge, theater, hiking, poker, crafts and other activities (233-2252).

SENIORS EVENT

The next L'Dor V'Dor event commemorates the Jewish holiday Purim on Feb. 19 at Temple Beth Sholom, 10700 Havenwood Lane. The event is open to homebound and facility-bound seniors of all faiths. It is free and will include entertainment and a catered lunch. Reservations are required by Friday (228-4744, 334-8914).

KIWANIS CLUB

The Las Vegas Kiwanis Club meets at 12:15 p.m. Wednesdays at Marie Callender's, 4875 W. Flamingo Road (839-9509).

NEVADA TAVERN OWNERS

The Nevada Tavern Owners Association meets at 4 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month at Blue Ox Tavern, 5825 W. Sahara Ave. (839-9006).

GANG PREVENTION TRAINING

Drug Abuse Resistance Education officers and the Southern Nevada Community Gang Task Force Gang Prevention Subcommittee will offer training regarding their "Parents Handbook on Gangs" 8-10 a.m. and 3-5 p.m. Thursday at Wendell Williams Elementary School, 1030 J St. (828-3394).

TEN-13 CLUB

THE TALL CLUB OF LAS VEGAS

The Tall Club of Las Vegas meets at 5:30 p.m. Thursdays at the Blue Ox Tavern, 5825 W. Sahara Ave. Those who meet the height requirements of 5 feet, 10 inches for women and 6 feet 2 inches for men can attend (390-8255).

SONGWRITERS ASSOCIATION

The Las Vegas Songwriters Association meets at 6:45 p.m. Thursdays at the Cabana Mobile Home Park clubhouse, 5303 E. Twain Ave. (223-7255).
