LECTURES

Teela Sanders of the School of Sociology and Social Policy, University of Leeds, will present "The Complexities of Supply and Demand: Intimacy, Sexual Labor and Commerce" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Barrick Museum Auditorium at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway. The lecture, free and open to the public, is sponsored by UNLV's College of Liberal Arts and Dean's Associates (895-3401).

"Translating the Bible" a free lecture sponsored by the UNLV Great Works Certificate program, will be presented by Robert Alter, class of 1937 professor of Hebrew and Comparative Literature at the University of California, Berkeley, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Barrick Museum Auditorium at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, 4505 S. WORKSHOP

The city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services will have a free workshop designed to educate adults about the dangers in the use of the Internet by children. The class will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Brinley Community School, 6150 Smoke Ranch Road. Nevada Child Seekers and the Metropolitan Police Department are collaborating on this project.
