DFC MEETING

The Distinguished Flying Cross Society will have its monthly luncheon meeting Thursday at Claim Jumper, 1100 S. Apache Road. Reservations are required (452-9522).

GOLF CLUB

The North Las Vegas Ladies Golf Club plays every Wednesday morning at the North Las Vegas Golf Course, 324 E. Brooks Ave. (646-7180).

ROTARY CLUB

SENIORS GROUPS

The Nevada Senior Coalition, a nonprofit, nonpartisan group concerned with crime, taxes, immigration, prescriptions and traffic, will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday at Boulder Station, 4111 Boulder Highway. Speakers will be Roy Schoemaker, Nevada State Contractors Board investigator, and TV personality Nate Tannenbaum (737-1377).

SIERRA CLUB

The Sierra Club will have its conservation meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Wengert Room at Nevada Power Co., 6226 W. LECTURE

University of Nevada, Las Vegas English professor Douglas Unger will present "The Geometrics of Fiction" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Barrick Museum Auditorium on campus, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway. FUNDRAISER

The Brandeis Las Vegas Chapter's 11th annual Book and Author Luncheon will take place Sunday at The Orleans, 4500 W. Tropicana Ave. Sarah Lee Marks of Henderson will speak about her latest book, "Artist's Proof." Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for boutique shopping and book signing.
