Belly Up
We don't usually begin our forays into new productdom with a legal caveat. But, this week, let us emphasize that we take no legal or moral responsibility for whatever might happen if you decide to actually use the Beerbelly.
We're not sure if the Beerbelly is for lazy people who don't want to bother to get up to get a drink or cheap people who don't want to spend going prices for beverages. All we do know is that you're supposed to fill the Beerbelly bladder with up to 80 ounces of beer, soda or another beverage and strap it on underneath your clothing.
Now, when thirst hits, you simply guzzle away through the connected, presumably hidden, hose.
But, again, you're on your own from there. Open container arrest? Good luck. Security guard denies you admittance to the big game? Life's tough. Dealing with shocked disapproval from seatmates who are wondering just where the liquid in that hose is coming from? Have fun explaining that one.
Anyway, the Beerbelly retails for $34.95 at selected stores and online (www.thebeerbelly.com).
The company also is working on a product called the Winerack. We'll let you figure out that one yourself.
