Bite into National Filet Mignon Day

It's true that there's a National Day of Everything, or at least everything food-related. You like whiskey sours? Aug. 25. Salami? Sept. 7. Porridge (porridge?)? Oct. 10.

Thursday is National Filet Mignon Day, which hasn't gotten much attention in Las Vegas. But not to worry; Morton's the Steakhouse is ensuring that no good holiday go unnoticed. Morton's locations nationwide will offer $1 petite filet mignon sandwiches in their bars all day Thursday.

The Las Vegas Morton's is at 400 E. Flamingo Road. And in this case, "all day" means from 5 to 11 p.m.
