SIGNINGS
Mark Kriegel and Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini will sign "The Good Son: The Life of Ray 'Boom Boom' Mancini" at
7 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble, 2191 N. Rainbow Blvd.
EVENTS
"Cuentos: Tales from the Latino World," a presentation by storyteller David Gonzalez, will be at 2 p.m. today at Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.
The Vegas Valley Book Festival Pre-Festival event, "Readings in the Pumpkin Patch," will feature a celebration of books, readings and music with local children's authors, book signing, bookmaking projects and more, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Gilcrease Orchard, 7800 Tenaya Way. Admission is free for the first 300 cars; $3 per car for additional vehicles (229-5431).
Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road., will offer a book-publishing workshop with authors Roger DeBlanck and Jonathan Sturak at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Barnes & Noble, 2191 N. Rainbow Blvd., will have the teen event "Reading Fun with Star Wars" featuring costume characters, giveaways and prizes at
3 p.m. Saturday (631-1775).
"Uncensored Voices: Celebrating Literary Freedom" will feature dramatic readings, guest speakers and a panel discussion at 7 p.m. Saturday at Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist Steve Sebelius will moderate the panel discussion. A reception will follow.
The Amazing Reads Book Club meets at 5:30 p.m. the fourth Wednesday of each month at West Charleston Library, 6301 W. Charleston Blvd.
Book Lovers' Bistro meets at 5:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at Whitney Library, 5175 E. Tropicana Ave.
