EVENTS
"New York and Chicago Invade Las Vegas and Hollywood," a panel discussion featuring Frank Cullotta, Andrew DiDonato, Dennis Griffin, Henry Hill and Craig Vincent, will be presented at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Main Theater at Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. Books and merchandise signings will follow the presentation. Admission is free.
The Breakfast Book Club meets at 11 a.m. the third Friday of the month at Sunrise Library, 5400 Harris Ave.
The Spring Valley Book Discussion Group meets at 1 p.m. the third Sunday of each month at Spring Valley Library, 4280 S. Jones Blvd.
The Classics Book Club meets at 7 p.m. the third Wednesday of the month at Green Valley Library, 2797 N. Green Valley Parkway, Henderson.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Borders bookstore, 2190 N. Rainbow Blvd., has a writers' group at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays.
The Henderson Writers Group meets at 6:30 p.m. the second and fourth Mondays of the month at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in the Running Rebel Plaza, 4550 S. Maryland Parkway; and the first, third and fifth Mondays of the month at Saxby's Coffee Lounge, 72 Horizon Ridge Parkway, Henderson.
The monthly Poet's Corner is at 7:30 p.m. the third Friday of the month at the West Las Vegas Arts Center, 947 W. Lake Mead Blvd.
STORY TIMES
Story time with music and crafts is offered Tuesdays at 11 a.m. at Barnes & Noble, 567 N. Stephanie St., Henderson.
Story time in the Square is offered at 11 a.m. Wednesdays in Children's Park at Town Square Las Vegas, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
