SIGNINGS

Eileen Sisk will have a reading, discussion and signing of "Buck Owens: The Biography" at noon today at Borders at Town Square, 6521 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

Vince Neil will sign "Tattoos and Tequila" at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Barnes & Noble, 3680 S. Maryland Parkway. Wristbands will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 9 a.m. Copies of the book should be purchased before getting the wristband and entering the signing line. Neil will not be signing promotional or other nonbook items.

Beth Choat will sign and discuss "Soccerland -- The International Sports Academy" at 5 p.m. Friday at Borders, 10950 W. Charleston Blvd.

Tom Catton will sign and discuss "The Mindful Addict: A Memoir of the Awakening of a Spirit" at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Foundation for Recovery Bookstore, 4750 W. Sahara Ave.

EVENTS

"Uncensored Voices: Celebrating Literary Freedom" featuring short dramatic readings excerpted from banned or challenged works at 7 p.m. Thursday at Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. For more information call 366-1536.

The Mahogany Circle Book Club meets at 11 a.m. the first Saturday of the month at the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. The Spring Valley Book Discussion Group meets at 1 p.m. the third Sunday of each month at Spring Valley Library, 4280 S. Jones Blvd.

The Sahara West Book Discussion Group meets at 5:30 p.m. the last Thursday of each month; the Murder in the Library group meets at 5:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave.

The Rainbow Book Club will meet at 2 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month at Rainbow Library, 3150 N. Buffalo Drive.

The Mesquite Club Book Club meets at 1 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month at Mesquite Club House, 702 E. St. Louis Ave. in Las Vegas.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Borders bookstore, 2190 N. Rainbow Blvd., has a writers' group at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

The Henderson Writers Group meets at 6:30 p.m. the second and fourth Mondays of the month at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in the Running Rebel Plaza, 4550 S. Maryland Parkway; and the first, third and fifth Mondays of the month at Saxby's Coffee Lounge, 72 Horizon Ridge Parkway, Henderson.

The monthly Poet's Corner is at 7:30 p.m. the third Friday of the month at the West Las Vegas Arts Center, 947 W. Lake Mead Blvd.

STORY TIMES

Story time with music and crafts is offered Tuesdays at 11 a.m. at Barnes & Noble, 567 N. Stephanie St., Henderson.

Story time in the Square is offered at 11 a.m. Wednesdays in Children's Park at Town Square Las Vegas, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

Individual libraries within the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District offer a variety of story times and special events for children of all ages throughout the year. Most libraries require registration for their programs. Call the libraries for details.
