SIGNINGS

Ky-Mani Marley will sign copies of "Dear Dad: Where's the Family in Our Family, Today?" at 1 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble, 3860 S. Maryland Parkway.

Author and "Star Trek" expert Larry Nemecek will sign copies of his books noon-2 p.m. Thursday at A Collector's Menagerie, 7240 W. Lake Mead Blvd.

Mac King will perform and sign copies of "Mac King's Campfire Magic: 50 Amazing, Easy-to-Learn Tricks and Mind-Blowing Stunts Using Cards, String, Pencils, and Other Stuff from Your Knapsack" at 2 p.m. April 25 at Borders, 6521 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

EVENTS

Tony Curtis will discuss his life, art and "The Making of Some Like It Hot" at 2 p.m. today at Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. A book signing will follow the presentation. There will be a limit of one item per person plus items purchased on site. Seating is limited. Wristbands will be distributed at 1 p.m., with a limit of one per person.

"A Poetry Reading by Laura Mullen" will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas' Marjorie Barrick Museum, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway.

"Titans of the Graphic Novel: An Evening with Harvey Pekar and Alison Bechdel" will be presented at 7 p.m. Saturday at Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. A book sale and signing will follow the talk.

"An Evening with Andrew Gross" will be presented at 7 p.m. April 26 at Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. A reception and book signing will follow the talk.

Contemporary Fiction Book Club meets at 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month at the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.

The Fantastic Classics Book Club meets at 7:15 p.m. the third Wednesday of the month at Green Valley Library, 2797 N. Green Valley Parkway, Henderson.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Borders bookstore, 2190 N. Rainbow Blvd., has a writers' group at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

STORY TIMES

Story time with music and crafts is offered Tuesdays at 11 a.m. and the second Saturday of the month at Barnes & Noble, 567 N. Stephanie St., Henderson.

Story time in the Square is offered at 11 a.m. Wednesdays in Children's Park at Town Square Las Vegas, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

Individual libraries within the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District offer a variety of story times and special events for children of all ages throughout the year. Most libraries require registration for their programs. Call the libraries for details.
