Viki Kind will sign and discuss “The Caregiver’s Path to Compassionate Decision Making” at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Barnes & Noble, 3860 S. Maryland Parkway. Kind also will have presentations at 8:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Wednesday in the auditorium at Sunrise Hospital, 3186 S. Maryland Parkway.

Teresa Burrell will sign and discuss “The Advocate” at 11 a.m. June 27 at Barnes & Noble, 3860 S. Maryland Parkway.

“Great Beach Reads,” a panel discussion on fiction writing for summertime reading with local authors Nicole Mitchell, Charline Ratcliff, Jamy Rosser and Morgan St. James, will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.

“From Pulp to Present: Lesbian Literature in Love,” a multimedia talk with LGBT activist, feminist and playwright Shawn Marie Bryan, will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday at Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.

The Fratello Marionettes will present “Carnival of the Animals,” featuring three classic storybook fairy tales, at the following locations: Monday at 2 p.m. at West Charleston Library, 6301 W. Charleston Blvd., and 6:30 p.m. at Whitney Library, 5175 E. Tropicana Ave.; Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Las Vegas Library, 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North, and 6:30 p.m. at Enterprise Library, 25 E. Shelbourne Ave.; Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Sunrise Library, 5400 Harris Ave., 1:30 p.m. at Green Valley Library, 2797 N.
