SIGNINGS

Victoria Gotti will sign and discuss "This Family of Mine: What It Was Like Growing Up Gotti" at 1 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble, 8915 W. Charleston Blvd.

Judy McFadden will sign and discuss "Life with McDuff: Lessons Learned from a Therapy Dog" 2-6 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble, 567 N. Stephanie St., Henderson.

EVENTS

Green Valley Library, 2797 N. Green Valley Parkway, Henderson, will celebrate its one-year anniversary with the Henderson Libraries system with live entertainment on Saturday. The U.S. Buffalo Soldiers 9th and 10th Horse Calvary will give an overview and history of the historic fighting unit at 11 a.m. Live music will follow with the Boogieman Band at 1 p.m.

"An Afternoon with Anya Kamenetz: Edupunks, Edupreneurs & DIY U" will be presented at 2 p.m. May 23 in the Jewel Box Theater at Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. Kamenetz will discuss her book "DIY U: Edupunks, Edupreneurs and the Coming Transformation of Higher Education." A book signing and reception will follow the talk.

The Breakfast Book Club meets at 11 a.m. the third Friday of the month at Sunrise Library, 5400 Harris Ave.

The Contemporary Fiction Book Club meets at 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month at the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.

The Desert Hearts romance readers book club meets at 6:30 p.m. the third Thursday of each month at Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave.

The Fantastic Classics Book Club meets at 7:15 p.m. the third Wednesday of the month at Green Valley Library, 2797 N. Green Valley Parkway, Henderson.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Borders bookstore, 2190 N. Rainbow Blvd., has a writers' group at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

The Henderson Writers Group meets at 6:30 p.m. the second and fourth Mondays of the month at Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.

The monthly Poet's Corner is the third Friday of the month at the West Las Vegas Arts Center, 947 W. Lake Mead Blvd.
