EVENTS
"Haunted Las Vegas -- A Multimedia Presentation," featuring paranormal research author Janice Oberding, will be at 7 p.m. Monday in the Clark County Library theater, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.
"A Reading with Cristina Garcia" will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the UNLV Student Union Theatre, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway. Garcia, a Black Mountain Institute teaching fellow in the UNLV English Department, is the author of "Dreaming in Cuban," "Monkey Hunting" and "A Handbook to Luck."
"A Supernatural Evening with Langan, Sokoloff and Hawk: Ghost Writers & Things That Go Bump in the Night" featuring authors Sarah Langan, Alexandra Sokoloff and Rhodi Hawk will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Jewel Box Theater at Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.
The Spring Valley Book Discussion Group meets at 7 p.m. the first Thursday of each month at Spring Valley Library, 4280 S. Jones Blvd.
Centennial Hills Readers Circle meets at 10:30 a.m. the first Tuesday of each month at Centennial Hills Library, 6711 N. Buffalo Drive.
Sisters in Crime, for readers and writers who enjoy mysteries, will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday at Enterprise Library, 25 E. Shelbourne Ave.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Borders bookstore, 2190 N. Rainbow Blvd., has a writers' group at 6:30 p.m. the first and third Tuesdays of the month.
