Alice J. Wisler will sign and discuss "Hatteras Girl" at noon today at Barnes & Noble, 567 N. Stephanie St., Henderson.

Annie Duke and John Vorhaus will sign and discuss "Decide to Play Great Poker: A Strategy Guide to No-Limit Texas Hold Em" at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Barnes & Noble, 3860 S. Maryland Parkway.

Jerry Yang will sign and discuss "All In: From Refugee Camp to Poker Champ" 10 a.m.-1 p.m., 3-5 p.m. and 9-11 p.m. Wednesday in the Brasilla 3 Conference Room at Rio, 3700 W. Flamingo Road.

Patrick Cristobal will sign and discuss "The Orbiter" at 1 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble, 2191 N. Rainbow Blvd.

Ni'cola Mitchell with sign and discuss "Between the Sheets" at 4 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble, 3860 S. Maryland Parkway.

Bruce Headrick will sign and discuss "Tell Secrets -- Tell No Lies: Confessions of a Closetless Queen" 4-8 p.m. July 10 at the Free Zone, 610 E. Naples Drive.

EVENTS

"An Evening with Tess Gerritsen: Rizzoli, Isles and the Monkey King" will be presented at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. A book signing and reception will follow the talk.

Centennial Hills Readers Circle meets at 10:30 a.m. the first Tuesday of each month at Centennial Hills Library, 6711 N. Buffalo Drive.

The Mesquite Club Book Club meets at 1 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month at the Mesquite Club House, 702 E. St. Louis Ave., in Las Vegas.

The Mystery Readers Book Club meets at 6:15 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month at Paseo Verde Library, 280 S. Green Valley Parkway, Henderson.

The Malcolm Adult Book Chat meets at 4:30 p.m. the second Monday of the month at Lydia Malcolm Library, 2960 Sunridge Heights Parkway, Henderson.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Borders bookstore, 2190 N. Rainbow Blvd., has a writers' group at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

The Henderson Writers Group meets at 6:30 p.m. the second and fourth Mondays of the month at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in the Running Rebel Plaza, 4550 S. Maryland Parkway; and the first, third and fifth Mondays of the month at Saxby's Coffee Lounge, 72 Horizon Ridge Parkway, Henderson.

The monthly Poet's Corner is at 7:30 p.m. the third Friday of the month at the West Las Vegas Arts Center, 947 W. Lake Mead Blvd.

STORY TIMES

Story time with music and crafts is offered Tuesdays at 11 a.m. at Barnes & Noble, 567 N. Stephanie St., Henderson.

Story time in the Square is offered at 11 a.m. Wednesdays in Children's Park at Town Square Las Vegas, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

Individual libraries within the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District offer a variety of story times and special events for children of all ages throughout the year. Call the libraries for further information.
