Cerca contributor publishes ‘Phoenix Impressions’

A photographer who frequently contributes to the Cerca Travel Pages has published a new book of her work, concentrating on images of Phoenix and its surroundings.

Bernadette Heath is best-known for outdoor and nature photography and brought that mind-set to her "Phoenix Impressions." Even in this booming urban environment, many of the photos show how nature and that environment complement each other. Her photo of the historic San Marcus Hotel in downtown Chandler is shot from within looking out to the courtyard, showing how the dining room melded into the seasonally mild outdoor climate.

Heath's photos have been published in Arizona Highways, Sunset, the National Wildlife Federation magazine, and other outlets including the Las Vegas Review-Journal and its former sister publication, the glossy outdoor magazine, Cerca.

"Phoenix Impressions," her third book, is an 80-page softcover, its 96 images all printed full-color. It sells for $12.95. It was published in 2008 by Far Country Press of Helena, Mont. (800) 821-3874 or www.farcountrypress.com.
