Don't let the name of this one confuse you. The Virtual Soccer Ball is a real soccer ball -- not some imaginary soccer ball on a computer screen -- that's not much different from any other soccer ball.

What is different -- and what accounts for that "virtual" thing, we suppose -- are sensors inside the ball that can tell amateur players all sorts of stuff, including how long they keep the ball in the air and how many times they juggle it.

Pretty neat.

The Virtual Soccer Ball retails for $24.95 at the Discovery Channel Store in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort, 3663 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

For fans of other sports, a Virtual Distance Football ($19.95) and a Digital Speed Sensing Baseball ($24.95) also are available.
