Clock running out for NFL bar listing
Valley bar owners have until 4 p.m. Friday to call us for inclusion in this year's NFL bars directory.
This year's list will run in the Sept. 4 Living section. Each bar on our list must cater to an individual NFL team and agree to show only that team's games while the team is playing. That means we don't include sports bars, sports books, casinos, bars or rooms inside casinos or anyplace else where multiple games are being shown at the same time.
Each bar must be able to show every game its team plays, which means that the bar must subscribe to the NFL Sunday Ticket satellite package. Each bar must offer a food and/or drink special during its team's games, all of which we will include in the directory. And, we'll be happy to list giveaways -- for footballs, caps and such -- that bars offer during their teams' games, but we don't list gaming-related promotions.
Only bar owners or managers can submit information for the list by calling 383-0280 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. No calls will be accepted after 4 p.m. Friday.
