Dave the Clown at Circus Circus

Dave DeDera was only 19 when he was faced with the kind of decision that could make or break his career: clown around or become a cop?

DeDera chose clowning. It was the best decision of his life. For the past 18 years, this husband and father has performed under the big top of Circus Circus, entertaining kids and adults and scaring a few, too. But over the years, DeDera has developed a pretty good method for battling clown phobias.

You can find him performing on the midway stage at Circus Circus, juggling in the hotel's lobby or balancing chairs on his face at the Adventuredome.
