Flash back with ‘Saturday Night Live’

Everything old is new again. Especially in "Saturday Night Live: The Complete Second Season," which magically transports viewers back to 1976-77, when Jimmy Carter replaced Jerry Ford in the White House, Bill Murray replaced Chevy Chase as one of the show's Not Ready for Prime-Time Players, Steve Martin first guest-hosted NBC's late-night hit and audiences applauded the Killer Bees and the Coneheads, along with such musical guests as Paul Simon and George Harrison, who duet on "Homeward Bound" and "Here Comes the Sun." Now that's entertainment. The eight-disc boxed set, from Universal Studios Home Video, arrives Tuesday with a suggested retail price of $69.98, due to be deeply discounted. (Online pre-order prices range from $45.49 at Target to $59.99 at Best Buy and Circuit City.)
