St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Siena campus in Henderson is hiring employees for its new patient tower, an addition that will increase the hospital’s capacity to 326 private rooms.
The new 96-room Siena tower is expected to be complete in the fall and will create some 300 jobs in Southern Nevada.
The beginning of the hiring process for the new tower is the latest milestone in St. Rose Dominican Hospitals’ four-year renovation and expansion project at the Siena campus. Construction started about a year ago, and last summer, the tower was topped off.
Applicants are being sought for clinical staff such as pharmacists, nurses, therapists, phlebotomists and technicians, and support staff for food services, housekeeping and patient transportation.
The 220,000-square-foot five-story tower includes 56 emergency bays, six new operating suites, separate entrances for cardiology and cardiovascular services, and expanded space for admitting, nutrition services, radiology, lab, pharmacy, endoscopy suites and other outpatient support services.
