Here is Nevada’s most popular holiday cookie — MAP

For those hoping to please guests' tastebuds at upcoming holiday dinner parties — or for anyone who just appreciates cookies and desserts in general — Google Trends has found out what type of holiday cookie is the most popular in each state.

To generate which holiday cookie is most popular to the residents of each state, Google Trends poured through data to discover what type of holiday cookies users were searching for the most across the country.

Based on Google's findings, it's almost fair to label gingerbread cookies as America's favorite type of holiday cookie. The results aren't a scientific data set, but are fun to look at.

Of the five types of cookies that were searched for most — gingerbread, Mexican wedding, oatmeal raisin, snickerdoodle, or "other" variety— gingerbread cookies dominated the results by being the chosen flavor of 41 states — Nevada included.
