HOLIDAY COCKTAILS

Here are recipes for holiday drinks from Armando Rosario, master mixologist at Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada.

GINGER APPLE PIE

2 ounces Vox Apple Vodka

1 ounce fresh squeezed lemon juice

1 ounce ginger syrup (recipe follows)

1 ounce Funkin Apple Puree

Method: Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Garnish: Rim glass with cinnamon and sugar, apple slice

To make ginger syrup: Place 1 cup water, 2 cups sugar and 3-inch piece of fresh peeled and chopped ginger in pan. Bring to a boil, simmer 5 minutes and let cool.

POMEGRANATE MISTLETOE

2 ounces Absolut Citron

1 ounce fresh squeezed lemon juice

1 ounce Rock Candy Syrup

1 ounce Pom Wonderful

Method: Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass

Garnish: Place pomegranate seeds on bottom of glass.
