April 13 workshop aims at solving garden problems

Gardening in Small Places: What Went Wrong and Getting Ready for Summer will be the topic of a workshop April 13 at Clark County Cooperative Extension’s Lifelong Learning Center, 8050 Paradise Road. Angela O’Callaghan will teach the course, which is scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon.

The class is designed for all gardeners. Topics to be discussed include looking at your garden to recognize what is happening, what is healthy and what is not, and how to correct problems organically. Additionally, participants will learn how to prepare their garden for the summer heat so it will provide the best possible vegetables, fruit and flowers.

Class space is limited, and advance registration is required. There is a $25 fee, which includes class materials.

To register for the class, contact Elaine Fagin at fagine@unce.unr.edu or call 702-257-5573.
