Home expert to visit Lowe's

Home-improvement expert Ron Hazelton, host of "Ron Hazelton's HouseCalls" that airs on KVBC Channel 3, will visit Lowe's of Northwest Las Vegas to provide quick tips on how to easily improve the value of a home, answer home improvement questions and sign autographs.

Hazelton will be at the Lowe's at 6050 W. Craig Road between 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday.

During his visit, Hazelton will demonstrate how to install laminate flooring, give tips on how to get the best deal on home-improvement purchases, and sign autographs.

Session focuses on licensing

The Nevada State Contractors Board Business Assistance Program is offering a free workshop to help area residents interested in applying for a contractor's license with the licensing process. The session will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 24 at the Henderson board office, 2310 Corporate Circle, suite 200.
