Class teaches locals how to grow tomatoes in valley

"All About Tomatoes" is the topic for a gardening class to be taught Feb. 5 at the Family Resource Center at University Medical Center, 1120 Shadow Lane. Helen Brown, a master gardener with Clark County Cooperative Extension, will teach the course, which begins at 10 a.m.

Participants will learn about what tomato varieties grow well in this area and which are prone to problems .

The class is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required.
