Garden Clubs to present officer training at Lorenzi Park

Nevada Garden Clubs is offering a training session for those interested in becoming more effective officers in their clubs. The training will take place at 9 a.m. Aug. 20 and is scheduled to finish around 3:30 p.m. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. for check in.

The session will be presented by Robin Pokorski, former California Garden Club state president and current corresponding secretary of the National Garden Clubs .

Training will be at the Nevada Garden Club Center in Lorenzi Park, 3333 W. Washington Ave., near the corner of Twin Lakes Drive. Cost is $20, or free to Nevada Garden Club members. Lunch may be purchased for $10 (or you may bring your own).

Registration will close Aug. 18.
