Japanese flower arranging sessions set

The Nevada chapter of the Ikenobo Ikebana Society will present Japanese flower arranging workshops from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Whitney Library, 5175 E. Tropicana Ave. Fresh flowers will be used during the sessions.

Ikebana originated more than 500 years ago in Kyoto, Japan, as a Buddhist floral offering. It has been passed down from generation to generation.
