What: Vine crops

Learn how to grow vine crops such as watermelon, cantaloupe, pumpkin and squash.

Where: Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd.

What: Kids Gardening Club

What: Drip irrigation

Participants will learn complete system installation from the street to the plants, including how to select and assemble components. Build a drip system in class. The class is taught by experts from the Southern Nevada Water Authority Conservation Division and Las Vegas Valley Water District Water Waste Team.

What: Ikenobo Ikebana Society, Nevada Chapter, flower arranging workshop

Fresh flowers will be used to create the arrangements. Saturday and Tuesday sessions are advanced workshops and will be in the shinputai shoka and shinputai shoka futakabu-ike styles in the morning and afternoon, respectively. Monday's session is for beginners and will be on freestyle arrangements, particularly slanting and hanging arrangements.
