Local La-Z-Boy galleries earn customer service award

La-Z-Boy has awarded the Furniture Galleries stores of Las Vegas as the top in customer service among all 305 stores in the U.S. and Canada. Owner Steve Hueftle was named the winner of the company's Customer Service Excellence Award, an honor presented at an awards ceremony recently in High Point, N.C.

The award recognizes Hueftle as a leader in customer service who has continuously demonstrated commitment to the La-Z-Boy brands, retail network and customers through his stores' superior service. This honor was given to Hueftle and his staff for obtaining the highest brand and store net promoter scores on a recent customer satisfaction survey. Additionally, they are recognized for their low number of reported problems.

"Our entire store team is dedicated to providing our customers with a great shopping experience," Hueftle said. "We're excited to hear that we are doing so well and that our efforts are recognized by our customers and La-Z-Boy."

In May 2008, La-Z-Boy introduced a new customer satisfaction and loyalty measurement program. The program invites customers who recently purchased furniture to complete an online survey that shows their perceptions of the product, sales experience and their delivery.

"These surveys provide much needed feedback for customer sales and service experience improvement," said Reilly. "It's very helpful to know our strengths as well as the areas where we need more focus."
