In Case You Missed It: When falling on ice is adorable

While adults have typically learned their lesson about the characteristics and dangers of ice, kids tend to be a little more adventurous, especially when they discover the curious surface for the first time.

Such was the case for a little girl in Russia, all bundled up like Ralphie’s little brother in his snowsuit in “A Christmas Story.” This adorable little girl walks on ice for the first time. In the beginning, she’s very intrigued by the crunching noise of the breaking ice under her feet.

She walks in circles as she inspects the new, mysterious surface. Then the inevitable happens: As she plants her left foot, it slips out from under her. Miraculously, she keeps her balance by flailing her arms into the air.

What a save! Impressive reflexes!

Then the unthinkable happens. Needing a closer look, the little girl bends over to touch this new, slippery surface, but unable to fully bend her knees and being a little top heavy, the little girl simply tips over onto her head.

“Winter suits for babies are hilarious,” said a commenter on YouTube. “Good thing there is so much padding!”

Yep. That’s true.

“That kid’s comic timing is incredible,” said another commenter.

And that has nothing to do with the snowsuit.
