Mule deer group sets banquet

The Las Vegas chapter of the Mule Deer Foundation will have its annual banquet and auction Saturday at the Gold Coast.

The foundation is a nonprofit wildlife habitat conservation organization dedicated to ensuring the future of mule and blacktail deer and their habitats. The group has funded wildlife and habitat conservation projects for the past 20 years, including management-related research, habitat acquisitions and conservation education programs.

According to committee chairman Gary Murphy, social hour will begin at 5 p.m., followed by the banquet at 6:30 p.m. A fundraising auction will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature rifles, bows, limited-edition wildlife prints and bronzes. Proceeds will benefit the foundation's habitat conservation projects.

Tickets are $55 per meal and $35 for a one-year membership, which includes a subscription to the bi-monthly Mule Deer Magazine.

For reservations or more information, contact Murphy at (702) 204-9406.
