Opera Las Vegas fundraiser celebrated at Four Seasons
Opera Las Vegas celebrated the season in grand style with a luncheon and musical program at the Four Seasons on Dec. 6.
The Four Seasons displayed an intricate gingerbread village, complete with moving carousel that guests admired on their way to the ballroom to participate in this holiday fundraiser.
Opera Las Vegas treasurer Gayle Rogers and Opera Las Vegas secretary Alvida Lane greeted guests Nicole and Jack Fisher, Jeanne Greenawalt, Susan Houston, Teri Eden, Persia Golden, Beverly O'Connor, Betsy Rhodes, Audrey Holmes, Gay Goldstein, Rhoda and Raymond Ring, Leonard Gross, Marilyn and Jesse Peck, Bill McCarty, Ron Slaughter, Anita and Christopher Murray, Michael Derhake and Lori Noon.
Wine was served as Joyce Kessler, Ray Conley, Joan LeMere, Margie Conway, Phyllis Haley, Judy Moore and Lisa and John Illia made their silent bids.
Once guests were seated at their luncheon table, Opera Las Vegas president James Frank and Opera Las Vegas vice president Hal West introduced Opera Las Vegas officers and directors in attendance: Sandra Frank, Oliver Phillips, Judy Moore, Stacie Rachelski, Marek Rachelski, Claude Borders and Steve Scharren.
Following the luncheon, Luanna DeVol, mezzo-soprano and UNLV faculty member and teacher of Opera Advanced Student Workshop, introduced the musical program presented by students Marjorie Klespitz, soprano; Georgia McQuate, soprano; Edwin Joseph Cotton, tenor; and Grant Davis, baritone. They entertained with opera and holiday selections with piano accompaniment by Valerie Ore.
