Red Rock Canyon: On Monday, venture to the South Loop for a moderate four-mile hike at Mount Charleston. On Tuesday, there will be a moderate to strenuous 5-mile hike to the Miner's Cabin between the White Rock Hills and the La Madre Mountains. Friday, will be a moderate 3-mile hike to Pine Creek Canyon. Saturday is an easy, 1/2 mile walk at Corn Creek Spring (515-5367).

Las Vegas Valley Bicycle Club: Wednesday, midweek road ride at 8 a.m. Meet behind Starbucks, 10250 W. Charleston Blvd. and Town Center. Ride assembly point in the parking lot behind Town and Country Bank. Ride of 30 to 40-plus miles, depending on the route option chosen. The Desert Riders Club of Nevada: The Las Vegas Desert Riders Club of Nevada, a local chapter of the Honda Rider's Club of America, meets at 9 a.m. the second Saturday of the month at Carter Power Sports, 6725 S. Decatur Blvd. All motorcycles are welcome (795-2000).
