On Friday, help clean up a trail in the canyon or help remove invasive plant species from the area. Also on Friday, view a tabletop presentation to learn about the different kinds of rock art throughout Southern Nevada and what many of their symbols mean. Also on Saturday, kids ages 2 to 7 can attend Animals as Symbols and learn about the symbolic meaning that animals take on in our culture. The class includes stories, games, music and a craft and will be outside, weather permitting. On July 3, the tabletop presentation, Animals of Red Rock, will teach visitors about the creatures that live in the region; 1 to 3 p.m. at the visitors center.
