Red Rock Canyon: On Tuesday, take a moderate, 4-mile hike to watch the full moon rise in Cottonwood Valley; participants should bring flashlights for this hike for those 12 and older. On Wednesday, take an easy 1-mile hike to see animals in the Lost Creek area. On Wednesday, go on a 2-mile evening geology hike, starting at the visitors center; for ages 10 and older. On Saturday, take an easy half-mile hike to learn about the history and animals of Corn Creek Spring. On June 19, take a moderate 3-mile Father's Day hike along the La Madre Fault; for ages 10 and older. On June 19, take an easy to moderate 3-mile hike to learn about history, wildlife and wildflowers in the South Fork area of Pine Creek.

OTHER PROGRAMS

Red Rock Canyon: On Monday, view a table-top presentation at the visitors center that looks at "scary animals." On Tuesday, take a fun art class for those 15 and older. On Friday, join the Weed Warriors in pulling weeds that help promote the spread of wildfires. On Saturday, take a nature-based art class for those 4 and older. On June 19, view a table-top presentation about desert survival skills.

Archaeo-Nevada Society, along with the Bureau of Land Management, seeks volunteers to help with Red Rock Canyon conservation projects. Visit www.archaeonevada.org.
