HIKES

Red Rock Canyon: On Tuesday, a strenuous 6-mile hike with scrambling at Gray Cap. On Wednesday, a moderately strenuous 7-mile hike at Las Vegas Overlook. Also Wednesday, a moderate, 3-mile star hike at Oak Creek. Bring a flashlight. On March 27, an easy to moderate 4-mile hike emphasizing wildflowers. (515-5367).

Around The Bend Friends: This group of people over 50, interested in hiking and related social activities, plans a three-to four-hour moderate hike each Saturday starting at 8:30 a.m. To learn more about the group and the meeting place for the hike, contact 228-0773.

OTHER PROGRAMS

Red Rock Canyon: On Tuesday, an art class for those 15 and older. No experience is necessary and all supplies are included. On Friday, an ongoing story telling featuring children's stories about the Mojave Desert. Also Friday, a canyon clean up is scheduled. On Saturday, a program for children 2-10 on animal movements. On March 27, a program for 3-8 year olds on seeds (515-5367).
