HIKES

Red Rock Canyon: On Tuesday, a very strenuous, 6-mile hike with extreme boulder scrambling at Terrace Canyon. On Saturday, an easy to moderate 3-mile hike at Fossil Ridge. Also Saturday, a moderate, 3- to 4-mile hike at Oak Creek. On April 3, a strenuous, 6-mile hike with scrambling at the North Fork of Pine Creek (515-5367).

Around The Bend Friends: This group of people over 50, interested in hiking and related social activities, plans a three-to four-hour moderate hike each Saturday starting at 8:30 a.m. To learn more about the group and the meeting place for the hike, contact 228-0773, or the club's website: www.aroundthebendfriends.com.
