Red Rock Canyon: On Tuesday, a moderately strenuous nine-mile hike at Cottonwood Valley. On Wednesday, a moderate five-mile partial loop hike at Grapevine Spring. Also on Wednesday, a moderate 4½-mile hike from Red Springs, around the base of the Calico Hills to Calico II and back. On Friday, a moderate 4½-mile hike around the scenic Potato Knoll.

Around the Bend Friends: This group of people over 50, interested in hiking and related social activities, plans a three- to four-hour moderate hike each Saturday starting at 8:30 a.m. To learn more about the group and the meeting place for the hike, contact 228-0773 or the club's website: www. aroundthebendfriends.com.
