Mount Charleston: On Monday, a moderately strenuous three-mile hike to Mary Jane Falls. On Friday, a moderate 2.5-mile hike for ages 15 and older to Stanley B. Springs (515-5350).

Corn Creek Spring: On Sept. 5, easy half-mile walk to observe wildlife (515-5350).

Around the Bend Friends: This group of people 50 and older, interested in hiking and related social activities, plans a three- to four-hour moderate hike each Saturday starting at 8:30 a.m. To learn more about the group and the meeting place for the hike, call 228-0773 or visit www.aroundthebendfriends. com.

OTHER PROGRAMS

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area: On Friday, a program for ages 2-10 about outdoor exhibits at Red Rock. On Saturday, kids will learn about the movements and rhythms of animals and other creatures at Red Rock (515-5350).
