Red Rock Canyon: On Monday, a moderate 4.5-mile hike at Keystone Thrust. On Tuesday, a strenuous 6-mile hike with 1,800-foot elevation gain at Juniper Canyon. On Wednesday, a moderate 3-mile hike at the Calico Hills/Moenkopi Loop. On Friday, a moderate hike at Valley of Fire. Also Friday, an easy 2.5-mile hike at Moenkopi Loop Trail. On Saturday, a moderate 3-mile hike at Pahrangat National Wildlife Refuge. Also Saturday, a ½-mile easy walk at Corn Creek Spring, and a moderate 4-mile hike through Pine Creek. On Sunday, a strenuous 4-mile hike with some scrambling at Sandstone Quarry (515-5367).

OTHER PROGRAMS

Red Rock Canyon: On Tuesday, an ongoing program on bats at the Visitor Center from 1-3 p.m. On Friday, a program for 2-8 year olds about lizards in the Mojave Desert. On Saturday, the Las Vegas Astronomical Society will have telescopes available at the visitor center to view objects in the night sky. An entrance fee will be charged. On Sunday, an ongoing program from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the visitor center on an introduction to Red Rock Canyon (515-5367).

Archaeo-Nevada Society along with the Bureau of Land Management invites volunteers to help with Red Rock Conservation projects. Visit www.archaeonevada.org.
