HIKES
Red Rock Canyon: On Monday, learn a bit of history on a moderate, three-mile hike along Pine Creek; for ages 12 and older. On Oct. 14, discuss the geology, plants and animals encountered on a moderately strenuous, three-mile hike in Oak Creek Canyon; for ages 10 and older. Also on Oct. 14, enjoy the cooler October air and beautiful scenery on an easy-to-moderate, four-mile hike at Pine Creek; for ages 6 and older.
Around the Bend Friends: This group of people 50 and older who are involved in hiking and related social activities plans several hikes each week of various difficulty levels, including an easy-to-moderate social hike on Saturdays. OTHER PROGRAMS
Red Rock Canyon: On Tuesday, create a masterpiece in an art class for ages 15 and older. All materials will be provided. Also on Tuesday, view the types of venomous animals that live in Red Rock in a tabletop presentation from 11 a.m. to noon at the visitor center.
