Introductory muzzleloading
class scheduled for Aug. 27

The Nevada Department of Wildlife will host an introductory muzzleloading class on Aug. 27 from 9 a.m. until noon at the Clark County Shooting Range Education Center.

A brief lecture on the various types of muzzleloading rifles available today will address safe handling and techniques for loading and shooting. Participants can expect the class to last about three hours and will have the opportunity to load and shoot flintlock, percussion-cap and modern in-line rifles. The class also will include a brief lecture and instruction in the proper cleaning and storage of muzzleloading firearms.
